Shower Tile

For some reason, e-mail, pictures and I are not getting along (at all)... out of desperation I am creating a shower decorating blog post ;)

1)  Go to flooring store with 5 kids and crackers
2)  Find "inspiration" shower (which we have looked at a million times before), minus the decorative fluff in the middle, and the seat, add a shampoo niche and faucets!

3) Admire the floor

 4) Find comparable tile :)

5)  Find tile's information

6)  Find cute, expensive "tile" to decorate the shampoo space (minus the decorative edging... no need to go too crazy with prettiness)!

7)  Walk through the store a million times looking for cute floor tile
8)  Walk another million times
9)  Sit in the display shower for 30 minutes, answer questions concerning tile to passerby's
10)  Decide on flooring, in a J approved layout

11) Obtain information for flooring

12) Drive home before a) my bladder explodes b) Littlest Bit falls asleep and c) before WWIII breaks out in the back seat(s).

13) Lunch and then naps, 1 1/2 hours is too long at the flooring store!!!

Zombies Among Us

Hello Friends!!!  I wish I could see you and talk to you in real life, but, oh well :)

Last week, we went to the zoo!  As you can tell, everyone was super excited (actually, I think they were singing a song, but I don't remember, so let's just say they were super excited, which is true anyway)!

TW set up this pose for us!

Sometimes, when Smaug tries to fall asleep in the van, I give him a soda pop bottle.  He usually just hits things with it (like his head). This time however, he stuck it in his mouth and just sat there, for a whole minute... goof ball, just like Mr. E :)

A few days ago, we picked up two apple trees... and managed to get them home :)

This morning we went bike riding (I did not die!)!!!

And now, for a story...

A few days ago, the kids were playing together.  I heard the mention of zombies, but thought nothing of it (as we frequently have zombies in our house, and dinosaurs, and dragons, and princesses).  However, I soon heard J chuckling, and calling my name.  Uh Oh, these must be cute zombies!  And then Mr. E brought me the zombie (which wasn't himself, by the way).  He had gotten TW's scissors and cut off various pieces of Smaug's sock monkey (made by  my grandma!!!)... like feet and legs and arms and elbows and an ear.  Then, they (because by now, it was everyone) removed his stuffing and flung it about the house (not a nook or cranny was spared).  And to top it off, Mr. E was carrying it around by its little hat saying, "oooo, I a zombie".  I cried a little and laughed a little and am still cleaning up zombie innards *sigh*... in the words of my FIL, "rotten kids" ;)

In Other News:  We are still working on house closing details, but it is so close, I can smell the new paint!!!
