Good Bye 2011

So, yesterday we said good bye to 2011.  In other words... Happy New Year!!!

The kids have quickly broken (torn) the new baby bed...  I have no idea how it ripped and bent already...

Sometimes, I wonder if it's worth it to even attempt putting socks on the kids... they never stay put... plus they are one of my least favorite things to fold :)

We went to Bass Pro Shop three times last week... TW didn't mind!

Where did the boys go?

TW got a new coat.  When we got home, he set up a chair, huddled in his camo coat, grabbed his (cap) gun, and waited for some deer to walk by... they never did...

Daddy got a new muzzle loader/black powder gun... he's keeping it, and Smaug company!

Here is what Grandpa/ma C sent the kids for Christmas... oy!

We got a bag for our fake tree because the box has been through 2 moves and 6 years... TW took it over and had a blast!

Smaug can make the monkey play now :)

Here's that huge thing again :)

I LOVE it when the girls play with the doll house... it's so cute... it goes well until the other one sees and then the fights break out...

Pretty Girl tucked her baby in for bed too :)

We went to Target yesterday... I have monkey kids... if Pretty Girl hadn't been hanging off the cart I had, she would have been hanging out here with the rest :)  The car that parked behind us (we parked backwards) had a big Hawkeye plate on their car... J wrote "Hawkeye's Stink" and "Go State" on the back of our van in the... ahem... dust... don't know if the other car saw or not, but we giggled :)

Last night, there was a rousing game of hide-and-go-seek in the dark.  Each kid had a flashlight (which they love, slightly).  They would go to the toy room and count to 10 while Daddy hid.  Then everyone ran crazily through the house, "looking" for Daddy.  After about 5 minutes of shining each other in the eyes and giggling, Daddy would come "roaring" (literally) out of his hiding space, sending kids scattering and screaming.  Then they'd race to the toy room to start over.  I tried to hide with Smauglette in the bedroom (he wasn't overly fond of the screaming portion), but managed to have the wits scared out of me by a sneaking Daddy (neither of us had flashlights)... I almost died.

What's up, err down?

In Other News:  Don't the boys look alike???

Mr. E 6 months

TW 4 months
Smaug 4 months
P.S. Mom... I think Mr. E really has Grandpa H's and Uncle B's eyes... closer set :)

  1. Love the pics and giggled reading about the flashlight game! I get startled very easily and also would have had a heart attack..or Jeremy might have been clobbered by scared response of a fist (but I would have then apologized). Curious where the nickname Smaug came from...?
